Bowers & Wilkins is a company that makes high-end speakers in Britain which is known for its research and new products development. The name was derived from its founders, John Bowers and Roy Wilkins. The company was established in 1966 and have been a partner with Jaguar, Maserati, Volvo and BMW in their car audio system. Their headphones were also used at the famous Abbey Road Studios.
The PX5 is an on-ear headphone while the PX7 as the over-the-ear version. They are priced $299 and $399, respectively. There is also the PI3, which is the behind the ear version.
The PX5 looks gorgeous, sexy and sleek. The arms are made of composite carbon fiber with an oil-resistant fabric around the ear cuffs. You can adjust the size by pulling either the left and the right cuff from the headband. The ear cuffs and the headband have soft premium padding so you can wear it comfortably for hours.
The carbon fiber allows the headphone to be lightweight, although, not as light as other premium headphones on the market. The headphones weigh 8.5 oz.

Operations:
The buttons are simple and easy to operate. You can get familiar with the operations within seconds. If you lift any of the earpieces, the music will pause and will continue when you put it back. The up and down buttons are stricly used for volume control. You can go to the next and previous selections by pressing the middle button two times and three times. Pressing it once will pause the music.
Ambient pass-through can be enabled and disabled by pressing the noise cancelling button for at least 2 seconds.
Standby mode. By removing the headphones, it will automatically enter standby mode to preserve battery life.
It has an amazing 25-hour battery life even with the active noise canceling turned on. I have been using this pair for many hours and still keeps on going and going. And if you need to plug it to recharge, it also charges incredibly fast. A 15 minute charge will provide 5 hours of playback.
